SCHEDULED STREET CLOSURES FOOTBALL FY17
For most Angelenos paying for parking prices of $80 to $100 at concerts or events at Memorial Coliseum, is something that we come to expect. However for Rams fans, paying these types of prices for a preseason game made many angry and they took to social media to express their outrage. Many documented how some parking lot operators were charging $50, $80, and even a $100 flat rate fee to park in the area.
Keeping in mind that these same lots at USC costs about $25 per game, paying 3 to 3 times this for a preseason game seems like extortion. If your headed down to the Coliseum this year to watch the rams, you do have options to avoid this extortion at the hands of the greedy parking lot operators.
If you’re a season ticket holder, you can also park in one of USC’s parking lots, even if you don’t have a permit.
If you’re not a season ticket holder, your best bet is public transportation. There are three Metro stops within walking distance of the Coliseum — Expo/Vermont, Expo Park/USC, and 37th St/USC.
These trains will run every six minutes on game days. If your planning on using Uber or Left keep in mind of the road closures around the Coliseum on game days.
